Data from 11 national surveys found a small positive association between job satisfaction and level of education. A college degree was needed for college education to affect job satisfaction. About half the college students surveyed were not inclined to consider occupational information in making their educational choices, although they felt the opportunity for employment in their chosen field was very important.
