Feminine role concepts and beliefs of high school senior women were investigated. Non college bound women were found to experience less conflict between their self concepts and their feminine role ideals. College bound students were found to experience more feminine role conflict and to have more interest in finding additional roles. (GC)

Students' (N=1017) perceptions of barriers, facilitating factors, and information needs related to consideration of careers in science were investigated. Results suggest girls have doubts about combining family life with a science career, lack information about steps in preparing for a science career, and believe influential adults. (Author)

The subjects consisted of high and average ability high school students. Half selected their own task and half were assigned to a task based on their scores on Rotters's locus of control scale. Across all subjects, ability was found to be the only significant predictor of recall. (Author/BW)
