One hundred ten secondary school chemistry students were given two tests after programed instruction. Researcher concludes from comparison of results that there was a significant difference between the two tests. The experimental test, based on Bloom's Taxonomy, discriminated between higher and lower cognitive levels and categories. (JM)

Compared the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test and McCarthy Scales of Children's Abilities for 35 preschool children identified as being "at risk." Nonsignificant differences were found between Forms L and M of the PPVT-R and the McCarthy GCI.Correlations between the PPVT-R and the McCarthy GCI and Scale scores were significant. (Author)

This study compared double cross-validation replication predictive accuracies of six types of factor scores with full-rank data by utilizing data in which classroom achievement was predicted from affective and cognitive variables. The verbal-imagery code test appeared to differentiate between individuals on their immediate recall of prose materials which differed in style with respect to the amount of visual description and semantic complexity. The second response conditional probability model of decision-making strategies used by examinees answering multiple choice test items was revised.
