Seven doctoral pharmacy students participated in a study to determine if feedback to teachers in the form of observer evaluations, videotapes, and self-evaluation were effective in improving instructional skills. Surveyed directors (N=109) of clinical psychology programs to assess their opinions regarding proposed personality evaluation of doctoral applicants. Results showed that 75.3 percent opposed the evaluation based on the applicant's right to privacy and the inadequacies of assessment alternatives. (Author/JAC)

Using grade point average and graduation-nongraduation as two separate criteria and eight predictor variables selected from doctoral applicants' folders at an Arizona university, a canonical correlation of .624 for a sample of 65 graduate students shrank to -.095 for a cross validation sample of 21 students.
