A Case Study Examining How Branch Campuses Interpret and Implement Institutional Identity
Kevin David Broeckling
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Northern Arizona University
This work explores how mission and identity are practiced and understood in a branch campus setting of a private institution. By employing multiple organization identity, exploring branch campus management models and purposes and interviews with representatives of a branch campus, this work demonstrates how mission and identity are created in a branch campus environment and some elements that are necessary to empower understanding of mission and identity to the employees at the branch campus. This permits the author to provide observations on what the impact has been for the branch campus, and to make practical suggestions as to how the findings can apply to other branch campus experiences.
