Analysis of the data suggested that fathers who are affectionate and child-centered and whose daughters identify with them are less likely to have daughters who use marijuana. An instrument developed to examine a person's perception of fashion risk in clothing choice, relative to his or her self-esteem, was administered to 400 university students. Fashion risk was found to be a part of other types of risk and not linearly related to self-esteem. (Author/SK)

For both males and females, age and education are important factors in the determination of achievement behavior. While results fail to resolve the achievement versus affiliation argument, they nevertheless support the lessening importance of sex-role stereotyping today. (Author)

The attitudes of cognitively complex subjects were not more likely to polarize after thought. No differences between complex and noncomplex subjects were obtained with the original set, and with the replication set noncomplex subjects were more likely to polarize. Discusses the Adapted Modified Role Repertory Test (AMRRT), which was developed to measure cognitive complexity in children. AMRRT scores correlated significantly with age, thus supporting the assumption that cognitive complexity increases as a function of age. A study of college students showed the subject's own level of disclosure had an impact on perceptions of males and females moderately high and moderately low in disclosure. A variety of teacher behaviors derived from a controlled teaching task is reported. A Brunswickian "lens model" was used to organize the relationships of behavior dimensions to some teacher attitude and personality measures.
