Qualitative and quantitative evaluation showed that participants sought specific, work-applicable insights; the focus on new approaches was critical; and careful attention to educational program marketing was needed. Health occupations students were given three types of interventions: (1) direct teaching about work ethic; (2) work ethic demonstrated through modeling and teachable moments; and (3) student self-evaluation of work behavior. A combination of the methods was most effective. Most students were able to evaluate their own behavior accurately. (SK)
