Ayers, Jerry B. – Journal of Educational Research, 1988

McKenna, Michael C. – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1986
The purpose of this study was to test a specific hypothesis with regard to how cloze retrieval takes place once semantic constraints are recognized. Results from human subjects and computer simulation suggested that increase in latency between the two- and three-semantic-constraint conditions was not artifactual. (JAZ)

Baird, John S., Jr. – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1987
This study shows that a larger portion of faculty rating variance can be explained by students' subjective assessment of learning than by actual course grades. It is concluded that perceived learning is a significant predictor of both summative course and professor ratings. (Author/JAZ)

Cokely, Dennis – Sign Language Studies, 1986
In a study of sign language interpretive skills, data provided evidence of a definite relationship between lag time and miscue occurrence. As the degree of temporal synchrony between the sign language message and the target language interpretation increased, so did the frequency of miscues. (CB)

Vernon, Philip A.; Kantor, Lida – Intelligence, 1986
To assess the effects of timed/untimed testing conditions on intelligence scores, high school students were assigned to an intelligence test under either conditions and subsequently to a battery of eight reaction time tests. Results showed that subjects scores were related to the speed with which they processed information. (JAZ)
