This study examined the discriminant validity of the Trauma Symptom Checklist (TSC-40), developed to assess the impact of a history of sexual victimization, with a clinical sample of 103 men and 79 women. A history of child sexual abuse was associated with both high symptom levels and with elevation on the trauma subscale of the TSC-40. (Author/DB)

The discriminant validity of two subscales of the Reynell Developmental Language Scales (RDLS) was investigated using data from 225 children given the RDLS at age 4 and the Illinois Test of Psycholinguistic Abilities at age 5. Described is a method for discriminant analysis which uses the multiple regression facilities offered by many microcomputer statistical packages.
