This study examined the discriminant validity of the Trauma Symptom Checklist (TSC-40), developed to assess the impact of a history of sexual victimization, with a clinical sample of 103 men and 79 women. The discriminant validity of two subscales of the Reynell Developmental Language Scales (RDLS) was investigated using data from 225 children given the RDLS at age 4 and the Illinois Test of Psycholinguistic Abilities at age 5.
