Colleges and universities must reconsider the value placed on academic integrity and how they communicate and share these values and expectations with students. Consistent and ongoing opportunities for discussing the policies and procedures with students must be developed. (MLW)

Physical education and sports programs have the potential to enhance the quality of life. Cheating and violence in sports have become international problems that tarnish the credibility of athletic programs. Professionals need to emphasize good sportsmanship and fair play in sports programs. (DF)

The hypothesis that students who cheat will externalize the cause of this behavior was tested by contrasting the causal inferences of cheating and noncheating college students.
