Hale, Robert L. – Journal of School Psychology, 1983
The 10 subtests comprising the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children--Revised (WISC-R) were independently factor analyzed for middle (N=107) and low (N=158) socioeconomic status children. After testing for equivalence of covariance matrices between the two groups, coefficients of congruence between factors were calculated. These coefficients…

Butler, Timothy; Fuhriman, Addie – Small Group Behavior, 1983
Reviewed studies of the group curative process that have employed Yalom's description of group curative factors. Bledsoe, Joseph C. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1983
A factor analysis of responses from 44 female teachers to the Bem Sex-Role Inventory yielded two factors, Masculinity and Femininity accounting for 20.7 and 16.2 percent, respectively, of the common variance. Twenty-eight of 40 items performed as hypothesized while 12 items were not associated with masculine or feminine roles. (Author/RD)

Robertson, Donald U.; Hyde, Janet S. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1982
The 10 subscales of the Family Environment Scale did not emerge as 10 factors of the family environment. Seven new subscales were proposed: conflict, group cohesion, structure, religion, activities, verbal-intellectual orientation, and protestant ethic. Holden, Ronald R.; Jackson, Douglas N. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1979
Presented a distinction between concepts of face validity and item subtlety. Trait categories were differentially accessible to individual judges. Higher criterion validities were associated with less subtle and more face-valid items. Results support a rational approach to test construction and emphasize the use of relevant test item content.…

Marsh, Herbert W.; And Others – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1979
College faculty evaluated their own teaching and were evaluated by their students in each of two courses. There was considerable student-faculty agreement in the ratings obtained. Separate factor analyses indicated that similar dimensions underlay both student and faculty evaluations. Validity coefficients were statistically significant for all…

Bell, John A. – Psychology in the Schools, 1977
A 60-item short form of the Mnnesota Teacher Attitude Inventory (MTAI) was compared to the present 150-item form to determine whether the same constructs were common to both sets of items. Kronenberger, William G.; Thompson, Robert J., Jr.; Morrow, Catherine – Assessment, 1997
A principal components analysis of the Family Environment Scale (FES) (R. Moos and B. Moos, 1994) was performed using 113 undergraduates.
