The Committee Role Rating Scale (CRRS) is a device for evaluating performance as a member of a committee. Rating is done on 12 aspects of behavior, each one being rated along a five point continuum from always to never. Two open questions ask for listings of most effective attributes and areas which need improvement. (SM)

Three rating scales--the Conners Parent-Teacher Questionnaire, the Queensland Teacher Questionnaire, and the Pittsburg Adjustment Scale--were used to assess the prevalence of hyperactivity among 1908 elementary children. Rates varied from 5 percent to 8.9 percent, with the overlap going 3.5 percent and the sum of those identified 12 percent. (CL)

Psychological and acoustic properties of the distress vocalizations of five infants were rated on a scale from "definitely fuss" to "definitely cry" by mothers on two home visits. Analyses revealed that mothers rated infant vocalizations reliably along a fuss-cry continuum, both immediately and three weeks later. (Author/CL)
