Satisfied subjects showed greater congruency between their own and wished-for body build, and greater congruency between their own and friend/date body builds, but less congruency between their own body build and the female stereotype. Therefore, decision points in the research and consulting processes are examined for ways to clarify and improve the consulting relationship. Nearly twice the amount of variance in complexity scores accounted for by 17 antecedent variables was associated with Black rather than White subjects. The findings were truer of Black males. Independent variables were most strongly correlated with complexity scores for Black females. (Author)
