Thorum, Reho F. – High School Journal, 1977
An inquiry was made into the impact that the 1960s had had on high school student's behavior and conduct in the 1970s. A survey of 159 schools in 17 states indicated that violence has been replaced with compromise and consideration. Nevertheless, school and student management are still in need of refinement and reevaluation. (Author/RK)

This study investigates the premarital contraceptive behavior of 222 male and female college students. Contraceptive practice was examined in relation to dating patterns, level of emotional involvement with sex partners, types of birth control used, number of different sex partners, and reasons for failure to use birth control. Investigated were relationships between student self perception and actual classroom behavior in problem solving situations of 201 elementary students. Results indicated students with positive self concept were more independent from teachers and peers. Dependance upon others by low self esteem students is more evident in higher grades. (SL)

Scores of 1,200 subjects on the Test Anxiety Scale were factor analyzed. Both cognitive "worry" and "emotionality" items loaded strongly on the first factor, which appears to reflect worry about oneself and one's performance on tests and a wide variety of physical and emotional consequences of this intense worry.
