An analysis of the attitudes of prospective physical education teachers toward what they consider salient features of their own successful and nonsuccessful teaching revealed that their focus was upon student behavior. Replication of a previous descriptive study indicated widespread use of corporal punishment with mildly handicapped students at every grade level in 371 schools. A study of two junior high male basketball teams tested the ability of an intervention model to alter values-related behavior, perceptions, and moral reasoning of the experimental group.
