Examined the sex related differences in attitudes of secondary school students (N=1,818) toward computers. Results indicated consistent sex differences in attitudes toward computers and mathematics, in attitudes and participation in computer study groups, and in attitudes and use of home computers. (BL)

Several benchmark studies since 1969 are analyzed. The overall conclusion is that while there is agreement on the necessity to provide high school graduates with a minimum level of computer skills, the computer resources to enable this goal have not been and are not now widely available. (SK)
