Explores the dimensions of self-concept in response to sensitivity training, i.e., that psychologically healthy participants would make greater gains in self-actualization than would those participants who viewed themselves as less healthy. Results support the hypothesis. (Author/HMV)

This study investigates whether six women who previously had received 15 sessions of group systematic desensitization (SD) for their sexual anxiety would report additional treatment gains from participation in a sexual-enchantment workshop with their partners. Articles (N = 61) in major sociological journals were analyzed for content and method of sampling. The findings show that females are underrepresented in studies on the formation of college plans. Significant differences between males and females were also observed in the effects of intelligence, peers, and social class on college plans. (Author)

Examined effectiveness of different empathy training approaches with high and low conceptual level (CL) trainees and effects of client ambivalence on empathic responding.
