This study compares current practices in student disciplinary actions at both private and public colleges and universities from a survey conducted over ten years ago of such practices in the public sector. The data analysis and review form the basis for recommendations for further change in the administration of student discipline. (Author)

Incoming university freshmen (n=752) completed an anonymous questionnaire, and their responses were analyzed by percentages, analysis of variance, and factor analysis. Results showed less of a gap between attitudes and behavior than was found in past studies. New roles for student personnel workers are discussed. (Author)

University students were surveyed to determine problems they encountered, the resources for help with those problems, and problems perceived as not addressed by the university. The chief concerns were personal happiness and vocational identity. (Author)

Reports on a study which reviewed student successes and failures in an on-going student controlled program, where accountability, persistence and continuing commitment were required. Several conclusions are presented and weaknesses noted in these programs, many of which can be seen in faculty and administrative programs, too. (Author/PC)

Kapes and Sievert's (1973) research on the difference between wooden and plastic peg boards for the GATB is replicated. The results indicate that individuals tested on the wooden equipment perform significantly higher than those tested on the plastic equipment. (Author/PC)
