Questionnaires were distributed to a random sample of currently enrolled full time students at a small highly selective liberal arts college located in the Pacific Northwest. Findings suggest that male students have added illegal drugs to their repertoire of interpersonal mechanisms for the control of relationships with women. (Author)

This study was designed to assess listeners' ability to judge a taped speaker's age and to measure the extent to which personality ratings are affected by perceived age. An exploratory study of 38 runaway wives in Metropolitan Toronto found that the decision to leave their husbands came from a long history of marital discord, while the decision to leave their children behind came from concern for the children's welfare. Attempted suicide is considered to be a form of deviant behavior. Multiple suicide attempts are evaluated within the labeling perspective. A survey of the death attitudes and experiences of 54 rehabilitation counselors indicated their personal beliefs could potentially influence service to disabled people, particularly in the areas of terminal illness and suicide. Observations were made of the visible territorial markers of elderly homeowners. Attitudinal measures of their fear of crime indicated that high-territorial elderly were less fearful of being victimized than were low-territorial elderly.
