Questionnaires were distributed to a random sample of currently enrolled full time students at a small highly selective liberal arts college located in the Pacific Northwest. Findings suggest that male students have added illegal drugs to their repertoire of interpersonal mechanisms for the control of relationships with women. (Author)

This study was designed to assess listeners' ability to judge a taped speaker's age and to measure the extent to which personality ratings are affected by perceived age. Attempted suicide is considered to be a form of deviant behavior. Multiple suicide attempts are evaluated within the labeling perspective. Specifically, it is determined if labeling theory can explain acts repeated suicide attempts. Labeling by family and friends was found to be significantly related to repeat. (Author)

Observations were made of the visible territorial markers of elderly homeowners. Attitudinal measures of their fear of crime indicated that high-territorial elderly were less fearful of being victimized than were low-territorial elderly. Examined effects of economic well-being on marital stability using longitudinal data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Labor Market Experience, 1,349 married females interviewed annually over a five year period.
