High school juniors and seniors were interviewed to ascertain the effects of participation in the vocational education curricula. A comparison of the attitudes of students participating in vocational education programs and academic programs revealed the former to hold themselves in low esteem and to attach little value to their education. An individual evaluation is presented of a Fellowship in Residence at the University of Cincinnati in 1975-76, which was sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Veteran/students employed under the VA Work-Study Program at Harrisburg Area Community College serve as peer counselors and perform other veterans affairs related work to benefit veterans. In addition to the monetary reward of employment, VA Work-Study students increase their grade point average significantly. (Author)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the drug interests of junior high school students utilizing a questionnaire. Results suggest that students were most interested in the topic of illicit drugs and indicated less interest in the topics of commercial, over the counter, herbal, and prescription drugs. (Author)
