Discrimination exists today in both public and private employment, in all types of jobs, against every minority and both sexes, in every State. It is rampant throughout employment systems, and the personnel profession must share a lot of the blame for its perpetuation. (DM)

The U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Griggs v. Duke Power Company (1971) will have important effects on industrial personnel practices.
