This intercorrelation matrix was subjected to a principal components analysis; 53 principal components then were rotated to a Varimax solution. A self-report heterosocial skills inventory for females (SHI-F) was developed. A validity study compared high and low SHI-F scorers in situations in which self-report, behavioral, and heart rate measures were taken.
