Following a review on job satisfaction factors among professional personnel, a 1974 study is reported of suburban Chicago elementary teachers. Results did not confirm that, as school bureaucracy increases, teacher self-image and work satisfaction decrease; but they did confirm that work satisfaction rises with the individual's self-image.
