Surveyed female students (N=226) to determine the extent of sexual harassment and to test several popular explanations. A study of 25 college and university campuses to determine whether the college presidency is still an influential leadership position is discussed. The objectives were to find out what today's presidents think of their jobs and to learn how their immediate colleagues and publics view them as leaders. (MLW)

Studied the implications of being involved in either the design of changes or the application of a Quality of Work Life (QWL) change for four aspects of experienced influence. Results indicated the people who experienced the most increase in influence were those who helped design the change. (Author/RC)

Examined interpersonal influence processes within an actual counseling context over an average of eight sessions. Results indicated that counselor experience level did not affect client perceptions of the counselor and perceived counselor expertise, attractiveness, and trustworthiness did change over time, but not in the same direction. Investigated demographic and psychological factors related to reactions to legal abortions in 62 females in an urban southern community. Results suggest that the social context and the degree of support from a series of significant persons rather than demographic variables were most predictive of a positive reaction. (Author)

Presents an activity in which participants identify organizational situations in which they have tried to influence others and write brief essays discussing the dynamics.
