A seminar aimed especially at improving the capacity of psychiatrists and medical students to understand the emotional conflicts of their Black patients as well as the therapists' own race-related attitudes and behaviors is outlined. The Motoric Music Skills Test was administered to 808 children, ages three to six, from seven Kansas communities. Analysis of descriptive and inferential data indicate that the measured skills increase with age and differ by sex. The Career Maturity Inventory Scale was used to investigate the vocational maturity of emotionally maladjusted and well-adjusted high school students. Results indicated a significant difference in career maturity between the two groups. Sex, class, and race differences were also examined. (RC)

Results of a study to determine the effect of participation in high school athletics on access to college are reported for males, females, Blacks, and Whites.
