Examined the effect of orientation in altering concerns of new college students. Measured the change in level of student concern about academics, finances, physical layout, university structure, social integration and identity, housing, and social relationships. Results indicated that overall student concerns were reduced for the seven areas. (RC)

The Belief Polarity Scale, an index of racial prejudice, was administered to 76 educators of mixed racial background before and after an interracial human relations workshop. Analysis of variance revealed that polarity scores discriminated by race and that change in polarity was a function of pretest dogmatism. (Author/BW)

Results suggest that children's communication skills can be increased with a relatiionship enhancement curriculum of relatively short duration. The effects of adjunct postquestions in an individualized training course were tested. Percent of adjunct questions identical to the lesson and final test questions was varied in four conditions: no questions, 0 percent, 50 percent, and 100 percent identical.
