Pazandak, Carol H. – Measurement and Evaluation In Guidance, 1975
This study investigates the value of a potential moderator variable, student self-evaluation of previous academic effort, in increasing the validity of prediction of academic performance. Jackson, Linda A.; And Others – 1987
Early research demonstrating an association between success and the male stereotype and between failure and the female stereotype, and the Bayesian analysis of attribution theory provided the bases for predictions about the effects of gender and performance outcomes on probability estimates of future success. The relation between gender…

Fincher, Cameron – Review of Educational Research, 1974
The effectiveness of the SAT, in combination with high school records, in predicting college grades is established; its cost effectiveness, however, was not determined. Other uses and considerations of the test appear to be relevant and in need of more study. (JH)
