Studied (N=32) college males with either normal or neurotic MMPI profiles participating in a dyadic interaction via telephone with a confederate who disclosed at either a high or low level of intimacy. Studied matched groups of depressed college students who were treated by behavioral-interpersonal and cognitive treatments, each under two conditions. Studied male psychiatric patients' social sensitivity and self-awareness in a human relations training program. The two variables were significantly related. Self- awareness was not related to group acceptance. Results indicate a decrease in patient's symptoms but not as a function of social sensitivity or self-awareness. (JAC)
