Bridges, K. Robert – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1985
This study developed a questionnaire to: (1) identify the issues related to the design of parent education programs and their dimensions and (2) provide an empirical basis for their resolution. Results indicated that the dimensions of parent education could be specified in terms useful for program planners. (Author/LMO)

Silverstein, A. B. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1986
The intercorrelations among the 11 subtests second edition of the Detroit Tests of Learning Aptitude (DTLA-2) for a portion of the standardization sample were subjected to both factor analysis and cluster analysis. None of the factors or clusters corresponded exactly to any of the eight DTLA-2 composities. (Author/LMO)

Cervero, Ronald M.; Dimmock, Katherine H. – Adult Education Quarterly, 1987
Houle hypothesized three models of professional continuing learning: (1) inquiry, (2) instruction, and (3) performance. A study tested this typology with a population of staff nurses in a community hospital. A revised typology is proposed consisting of (1) inquiry, (2) performance, (3) group instruction, and (4) self-instruction. (Author/CH)

Lara-Cantu, M. Asuncion; Navarro-Arias, Roberto – Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences, 1986
Responses of 453 Mexican undergraduates were used to assess factor structure of Bem's Sex Role Inventory, test a wider pool of positive/negative items based on Latin American stereotypes of men and women, and explore sex-role dimensions which could contribute to a more comprehensive model of masculinity and femininity. Liemohn, Wendell; Knapczyk, Dennis R. – Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, 1984
The Southern California Perceptual Motor Tests were examined due to questions about test validity and because they were being used in the development of Individualized Education Programs. A factor analysis was made based on the subjects' performances on individual test items. Findings are discussed. (Author/DF)

McGue, Matt; And Others – Intelligence, 1984
A battery of information processing measures and psychometric tests of specific and general cognitive abilities was administered to 34 monozygotic and 13 dizygotic reared apart twin pairs or triplets. Correlations between information processing parameters and psychometric abilities as well as twin resemblances for the information processing…

Paul, Steven M. – Journal of Experimental Education, 1986
Normative data for the Advanced Raven's Progressive Matrices are presented based on 300 University of California, Berkeley, students. Correlations with the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale and the Terman Concept Mastery Test are explored. The relationship between the Advanced Raven's Progressive Matrices and Spearman's g is explored. (Author)

Kaufman, Alan S.; McLean, James E. – Journal of Learning Disabilities, 1986
Learning Disabled children (N=198) were tested on both the WISC-R (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised) and K-ABC (Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children). Joint factor analysis produced three-factor and four-factor solutions. Factors corresponding to three K-ABC scales generally converged with three WISC-R factors. (Author/CL)

Budescu, David V. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1983
The degree of indeterminacy of the factor score estimates is biased and can lead to erroneous conclusion regarding the nature of the results. The magnitude of this bias is illustrated and guidelines for describing factor analytic studies using factor scores are offered. (Author/PN)
