Studies the ability of college women to generalize resistance to stress when learning lists of nonsense syllables. Subjects trained under one type of stress learned more easily under a second type of stress than did subjects trained under nonstressful conditions. Table, graph, and bibliography. (RW)

The authors isolate seven patterns of cultural choice using a cluster analysis of a multidimensional scale of items from a 1977 survey of leisure activities in the South. They then use regression analysis to isolate the social demographic correlates of the clusters. (Author/RM)

Using a multiple-indicator multiple-cause model to analyze a 1972-73 national survey of consumer expenditures, the author isolates four patterns of spending on leisure activities and identifies the social and demographic characteristics of people exhibiting each pattern. (Author/RM)

Describes a study which showed that adolescents who reasoned at Kohlberg's "principles" level of moral reasoning are more tolerant than those who reasoned predominantly at the "conventional" level. Subjects in the study were senior high students in Ireland. Information was gathered through questionnaires. (RM)

To discover how students felt about being experimental subjects, 152 introductory psychology student research subjects answered questionnaires about their evaluation of the experience.
