Subjects were 20,367 high school senior males who participated in the 1960 data collection phase of Project TALENT and who responded to a 1961 followup questionnaire. Biodata obtained from a 394 item inventory were categorized in 14 areas revealing that the categories do not differentiate attenders from nonattenders according to ability levels.…

Comparison on the Bender of two groups of second graders with differential reading skills and average-or-above intelligence shows poor performance as often for good readers as for poor ones. Suggests need for extreme caution in test use for diagnosing reading problems. (Author/CJ)

Analysis of predictor variables (intelligence, Sims SCI Occupational Rating Scale, and Family Wage Earners' Occupational Level) used singly or in any combination showed relationship to stated occupational preference beyond 0.001 level of significance. Counseling implications discussed. (Author/CJ)

Review of large sample longitudinal studies indicates that, in general, expressed choices are fairly stable over one-to-five year periods during and after college, and that expressed vocational choice is as valid a predictor as interest inventories.
