Reports on a short-term longitudinal study identifying preparenting behaviors and attitudes that predict different aspects of fathering: caretaking, playfulness, and satisfaction with fatherhood. Compared the assumptions of 100 male and female employees about colleagues' views of their performance on a joint task. Administered a questionnaire on expected effects of alcohol to 150 college students. Results showed that subjects expected alcohol to affect other people more than themselves for both positive and negative effects.
