Males showed greater self-esteem and predicted higher scores for themselves than females. No sex difference in actual performance was found. Homemakers predicted higher performance for themselves on the verbal test. Females' self-esteem was not related to their husbands' attitudes toward women. (Author)

Granvold, Donald K.; And Others – Journal of Divorce, 1979
Identifies factors significantly related to the postdivorce adjustment of women. Results indicate that women with more equalitarian sex role expectations were significantly better adjusted than women who were less equalitarian in their attitudes. Older women and those who had been married longer were also found to be better adjusted. (Author)

Meta analysis of interviews with 11 groups of four learners and their instructors identified the affective and cognitive content and dynamics of classroom exchanges. Examines "alcohol myopia" (an increased use of alcohol in the face of increased negative consequences of use) in freshman college women with or without sorority pledge status.
