Examines the vocational aptitude patterns of males and females and Blacks and Whites. Work samples from the Micro-TOWER System of Vocational Evaluation were used to assess verbal, numerical, clerical perception, motor, and spatial aptitudes. Modern Language Aptitude Test scores of regular students (N=244) enrolled in introductory foreign language classes were compared with their foreign language course performance. The fourth and fifth subtests predicted ability to learn a foreign language. Learning disabled (N=51) university students scored poorly on all five subtests. (DB)

The relationships were examined between the Ball Aptitude Battery (BAB) and the Comprehensive Ability Battery, Differential Aptitude Tests, and General Aptitude Test Battery. Listening to a brief relaxation tape, listening to a test orientation tape, or having an individual supportive interview with a counselor all reduced test anxiety in a population of rehabilitation center clients.
