The results of the study indicated that dogmatism was not found to be related significantly to the four objective criteria of improvement during hospitalization. A tentative conclusion reached was that open mindedness" may contribute to level of improvement during hospitalization but has little relevance to success after discharge. (Author/CG)

Studies are reviewed that support the hypothesis that infantile autism results from a neuropathology of the temporal lobes of the brain. It is concluded that the main autistic symptoms are most consistent with a neurological model involving bilateral dysfunction of the temporal lobes. (Author)

In view of heavy reliance on teacher ratings with the Conners scale in studies of hyperactivity, careful consideration of the potential confounding of hyperactivity and aggression is recommended.
