Effects of nutritional supplementation on physical development of malnourished children was analyzed by univariate and multivariate methods for the analysis of repeated measures. Study of 843 children under 36 months of age enrolled in a prepaid health plan from September 1985 through March 1986 revealed an increased incidence of illness in children attending day care centers, but not day care homes.
