The aim of feelings classes is to help children learn how feelings and behaviors are related, and how they affect others and themselves. The present project studied whether a feelings class changed elementary school children's choices of potential behavioral reactions. The WISC and WISC-R were administered to 20 Black psychiatric outpatients, ages 8 to 15. Scores revealed the two tests to be essentially different, with lower Verbal, Performance, and Full Scale IQs on the WISC-R.
