Examined relationships between differences in counsellor trainee's perceived and measured need levels and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores and grade point averages (GPA). Chicano and Anglo perceptions of the university environment were compared on the seven scales of CUES II. Of the seven scales, only one, the practicallity scale, reached the level of significance, with the Chicano group scoring significantly higher. This study reports a successful classroom intervention program which was designed to curb encopresis. It used positive consequences in combination with negative consequences, rather than negative consequences alone.
