This paper is concerned with preventive measures which can be taken against student emotional difficulties arising from life on the college campus. Facilities on other campuses are reviewed with concentration on those aspects applicable to the University of Evansville, and recommendations are made for a facility designed for its campus. Pre-service teachers (N=113) responded to a semantic differential to assess attitudes toward five concepts. Significant differences were found in the responses to the five concepts, with students being negative in their attitudes toward perceptions by professors.
