Neal, Dorothy A. – Journal of Business Education, 1982
Using office simulation in a practice/procedures class better prepares students to deal with actual working situations. To facilitate the office simulation, one must consider available equipment, provide interesting programs, be aware of student needs, provide realistic evaluation, and be an enthusiastic and flexible teacher. (JOW)

Peer reviewedYovits, M. C.; And Others – Journal of the American Society for Information Science, 1981
This second of two related articles by the same authors describes a simulation model which permits examination of the interrelationship between information and decision making for a variety of situations. Prototype experiments which place human decision makers in an interactive decision-making mode are also described. Five references are cited.…

Zemke, Ron – Training, 1982
Gaming situations and their use in business training are examined. Various types of games are described and their benefits to trainees and teachers are discussed. (CT)
Descriptors: Game Theory, Games, Job Training, Simulation
Peer reviewedLaughlin, James E. – Psychometrika, 1979
This paper details a Bayesian alternative to the use of least squares and equal weighting coefficients in regression. An equal weight prior distribution for the linear regression parameters is described with regard to the conditional normal regression model, and resulting posterior distributions for these parameters are detailed. (Author/CTM)

Peer reviewedFinkbeiner, Carl – Psychometrika, 1979
A maximum likelihood method of estimating the parameters of the multiple factor model when data are missing from the sample is presented. A Monte Carlo study compares the method with five heuristic methods of dealing with the problem. The present method shows some advantage in accuracy of estimation. (Author/CTM)
