Griffin, Donald C.; McGhie, James B. – American Journal of Physics, 1973
Discusses an interactive computer algorithm which allows beginning students to solve one- and three-dimensional quantum problems. Included is an example of the Thomas-Fermi-Dirac central field approximation. (CC)

Bolemon, Jay S.; Etzold, David J. – American Journal of Physics, 1974
Discusses the use of a small computer to solve self-consistent field problems of one-dimensional systems of two or more interacting particles in an elementary quantum mechanics course. Indicates that the calculation can serve as a useful introduction to the iterative technique. (CC)

Holliday, William G.; And Others – Journal of Research in Science Teaching, 1977
Describes a study in which tenth-grade biology students who were low verbal performers scored significantly higher on achievement tests when provided with picture-word diagrams of biological concepts than when provided with block-word diagrams. Students and teachers also preferred picture-word diagrams as indicated by a questionnaire. (MLH)

Seaman, Scott; Carter, Nancy – Information Technology and Libraries, 1997
Describes the development of a policy at the University of Colorado to catalog, package, house, and circulate books with accompanying electronic media. Highlights include a literature review, motivation, a processing flowchart, retrospective conversion of older materials, and an example of a MARC record. (Author/LRW)

Brown, David W. – Computer Science Education, 1990
Presents a method to enhance the teaching of computer programing to secondary students that establishes a connection between logic, truth tables, switching circuits, gating symbols, flow charts, and pseudocode. The author asserts that the method prepares students for thinking processes related to programing. (MDH)
