Responses from 143 nursing students, 75 faculty, and 59 employers indicated that 18.7% of faculty did not include information technology in teaching, and one-third had not used hospital information systems. A 12-item questionnaire was administered in 1987-88 to 445 medical students, 133 medical school applicants, and 111 nursing students to assess any differences in their attitudes toward medicine-related AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) issues.
