Investigated factors associated with mathematics anxiety in 63 undergraduates who completed four anxiety measures prior to completing three math tasks. The use of green, red, and far-red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as light sources for plant physiological studies is outlined and evaluated. Examined the degree to which self-monitored heart rate, respiration rate, and finger temperature are valid indicators of relaxation, in a study of 45 Canadian college students. A comparison of self-monitored and externally monitored measures showed the self-monitored measures are accurate. (JAC)
