Types of articles appearing in education journals are categorized and explained, and three higher education journals' contents in 1975 and 1980 are examined for their content type, in percentages and numbers of articles of each type. Based on the results, the journals were found lacking in inquiry, theory, and humanism. (MSE)

Examined the relationship between personality and psychopathology using the Multivariate Personality Inventory (MPI) (N=100). Results showed significant differences among groups, which indicates that the personality groups as defined by the MPI in a normal population perform as would be predicted from work with pathological groups. The use of the diagnosis "borderline" was evaluated with 16 children (6 to 13 years old) who were referred for comprehensive evaluation. None met DSM III criteria for borderline personality disorder. The Matching Familiar Figures Test assesses the dimension of reflection-impulsivity in children. This study compares responses of a single sample to the established norms and adds intelligence quotient (IQ) for classification purposes.
