Numerical classification techniques were used to explore the conjecture that inconsistent results of many studies of disabled readers could result from samples being composed of subgroups of children with different characteristics. The author asserts that, by strict Aristotelian logic, only two positions on moral values are possible: absolutist or relativist. Sixteen-year-old EMR children were administered the WAIS and WISC-R in counterbalanced order to determine the comparability of the two assessment instruments. The WAIS was found to yield significantly higher scores. Results suggest differences between the two instruments among children of subnormal intelligence. (Author)
