The replication study concludes that anxiety among middle class white students is neither greater nor equal to that of lower class blacks. Entire 5th and 6th grade classes of eight elementary schools, ranging from inner city public to suburban private, comprised the sample (n=1,200). (Author/DB)

Elementary school children of both sexes (n=132) saw a male peer film model either rewarded or punished for touching prohibited toys. The model either smiled, cried, or showed no reaction, and subsequently had a differential influence on the behavior of children who observed. (NH)
