Schatz, Dennis; And Others – Science and Children, 1976
Stresses the fact that science activities can be styled to the visually handicapped students' levels and degrees of independence. Use of extensive hands-on, concrete experiences as emphasized by Adapting Science Materials for the Blind (ASMB) is encouraged. (EB)
Descriptors: Blindness, Handicapped Children, Science Activities, Science Course Improvement Projects

Friedman, Charles P. – Science Teacher, 1976
Describes how a Physical Science Study Committee(PSSC) course was adapted to the individualized format known as the Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) and introduced to universities and secondary schools. (LS)
Descriptors: College Science, Higher Education, Individualized Instruction, Instruction

Howe, Ann C. – Science Teacher, 1978
Discusses the Intermediate Science Curriculum Study (ISCS) teacher's role. Sources and dimensions of ISCS teachers' role conflict and some of the ways that this conflict has been, or might be, resolved are also presented. (HM)
