Although library instruction in university libraries is agreed to be a "good thing, insufficient attention has been paid in this country to the human aspects of such instruction, to the people involved in it and to the social situation in which they find themselves. (Editor)

Observing and tutoring, teaching, assisting a home-school coordinator, and working in a social agency are four methods for firsthand involvement with the problems of inner-city schools. Ten possible changes in business teacher education programs are presented and discussed. (CH)

A former MDTA and CETA project coordinator describes the goals and frustrations accrued during several years' field experience with funded programs.
