Through the use of a self report measure, evidence was provided for the hypothesis that the tendency to adopt either the ethics of personal conscience or the ethics of social responsibility in relation to moral principles is a result of the adherent's underlying personality structure. (Author/KJ)

This paper contends that the current diagnostic process could increase its value by using available procedures for more precise definition of terms and identification of behavioral correlates, and by the elaboration of concomitant etiological, dynamic and therapeutic possibilities. (Author)

Recommendations arising from the existential position are made for psychological testing: coadvisement (client and tester discuss their perspectives on the testing situation), sharing impressions (about the client), writing everyday language, client's critique of the written evaluation, and client's designation of report receivers.
