Scores on the Cognitive Abilities Test, Form 3, Verbal and Nonverbal Batteries correlated with The Ross Test of Higher Cognitive Processes at .44 and .22, respectively, for 79 elementary gifted students in grades four to six. (Author)

The presence of relatively high and positive partial correlations between appropriate subtest scores for 56 mildly retarded adolescents supported the concurrent validity of the Woodcock Reading Mastery Tests relative to the Peabody Individual Achievement Test and to criterion variables. This paper compares an uncorrected with a corrected correlation between a selection test and a test-criterion in terms of expected mean square error (EMSE). This study investigated the validity of Hayes's formula for converting rank-ordered Rokeach Values data to a normal distribution theoretically achieved through the use of rated data. Comparison of the Goodenough-Harris and McCarthy scoring procedures for 60 kindergarten children's drawings yielded substantial agreement between the two scoring systems.
